Alcohol & Drug Policy

In accordance with State Board of Education Rule 6A-1.0404, Florida Administrative Code, titled Zero Tolerance for School-Related Violent Crime,” the school board views disruptive and criminal acts, or threats of such acts, and those which may affect the health, safety, and welfare of those on school board property, school-sponsored transportation, or during a school-sponsored activity, as extremely serious in nature. Sworn law enforcement officers are assigned to schools to serve as school resource officers (SRO’s). In addition to administering the most severe consequences provided for by school board policy, the following actions shall be reported to the appropriate law enforcement agency: possession, use, or distribution of drugs or alcohol.
