Dear Families, Get ready for a magical day of imagination and literacy! On Friday, October 31st, we're celebrating Book Character Dress-Up Day, a fun opportunity for students to bring their favorite stories to life! We will also parade around the school to display our costumes. K-2nd Parade will be from 9:00-9:15 AM 3rd-5th Parade will be from 2:15-2:30 PM. Here's how your child can join the fun: • Ask your child's teacher for the form to complete to participate. The deadline to turn in the form is October 20th. • Dress up as a favorite book character (no need to buy anything - homemade costumes are encouraged and celebrated!). • Bring the book that their character is from to share with the class. • Complete the attached book form to tell us a little about their character and story. A few friendly reminders: • Costumes should be school-appropriate. Please avoid ghosts, vampires, witches, or anything spooky or scary. • Get creative! A simple outfit and a construction paper hat can go a long way. (For example, wear red for Clifford or green for Franklin!) Thank you for helping us make reading come alive! Your support makes a big difference in promoting literacy and a love of books.
