Registering your child

Here are the steps to follow to complete the registration process. In person process requires an appointment. No walk-ins. Please call the Registrar office at: 407-249-6950 x. 3222232

**Registrations for the 2020-25 school year will begin processing in mid-February on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that if we do not receive all documents the registration will not be processed.

 

Steps to follow:

      1. Parent/guardian must complete the registration packet and provide the documentation listed below. This link takes you to the Registration Packets page to download and complete a registration packet and save to your computer. Do not fill out in Chrome, use Adobe Reader only. (2024-25 school year Registration Packet will be available in February)
        • Steps to take: 
          • save blank registration packet to your computer
          • open saved document
          • fill in blanks
          • save completed registration packet to upload later
          • families will save, scan, and/or take pictures of the required documents and upload to send to  [email protected]

 

      1. Required documentation to send to school
        • completed registration packet This link takes you to the Registration Packets
        • vaccination record on FL680 form- up to date
        • proof of physical exam by a U.S. doctor (first day of entry at school exam) the exam is good for a year
        • academic history (withdrawal form, transcripts and last report card from the previous school) 
        • special education info (copy of IEP, 504, etc.) (if applicable)
        • government picture ID for registering parent/parents (Driver’s license, passport, etc.) both parents
        • student’s birth certificate
        • verification of guardianship for registering parent/guardian  (if applicable)
        • court documents-divorce, parenting plan (if applicable)
        • copy of current utility bill- light bill or water bill with your name on it (choose only 1) Mandatory for homeowners and tenants/leases
        • verification of residence (choose only 1 from the 3 below)
          1. Proof of current homeownership (Homestead Exemption Card 2024, Property Tax Statement, Signed Settlement Statement, Warranty Deed).
          2. Current lease (leasing for a year or more) Please note: If the house you’re renting has a Homestead, you will be sent to Student Enrollment with the owner of the house to get a Verification of Residence. If you’re renting a room of the house only, you will be sent to Student Enrollment with the owner of the House to get a Verification of Residence. There are NO exceptions with this protocol.
          3. Verification of Residence from Student Enrollment- if you are living with a friend or a family member (Click here to make an appointment with the Office of Student Enrollment to verify residence. Please follow the instructions on how to make an appointment along with the documentation needed).

Notice About Providing False Information:

Orange County Public Schools has the right to verify any information provided by the student and/or parent(s).
A student whose parent(s) submit fraudulent information in an attempt to attend a school to which the student is not assigned shall be immediately withdrawn by the school and must be registered and enrolled in the appropriate zoned school.
Whoever knowingly makes a false statement in writing with intent to mislead a public servant in the performance of his or her official duty, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor of the second degree, punishable by law (F.S. 837.06) or guilty of perjury by false written declaration, a felony of the third degree (F.S. 92.525).
